Westwood Catholic offers Faith Formation for students in Pre-K through 10th Grade. Due to construction in the lower church at St. Margaret Mary Parish, classes for all grades will be held at St. Denis Parish until work in the lower church is complete. This year we will continue to offer both in-person classes as well as the homeschool remote option. For more information on class days and times, please refer to our registration page.
Registration for the 2023-2024 year is now open.

First Communion Students are catechized and prepared to receive the Body and the Blood of Our Savior, Jesus Christ throughout their first and second years of Religious Education. The reception of Holy Eucharist takes place in the spring of their 2nd (or third) year of formal Religious Education. As part of their preparation for the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist, they prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the first half of their 2nd year of their formal Religious Education.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession is available on Wednesday evenings from 7-8 PM at St. Margaret Mary Parish and on Saturdays 3:30-4 pm at both St. Denis Parish and St. Margaret Mary Parish. Of course, the sacrament may be celebrated at any time. Just approach any of the priests and they will be glad to help or call the office to make an appointment.
Confirmation Preparation for teen parishioners is a ten-year program. Students attending Catholic schools are assimilated into our program after February vacation of 10th grade. Confirmation Preparation includes attendance and participation in all Faith Formation classes and meetings, mass attendence, community service, selecting a sponsor, choosing a Confirmation name, participation in a Confirmation retreat, the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, participation in the rehearsal for the Rite of Confirmation, and participation in the Confirmation liturgy. Confirmation must not be seen as an end of Faith Formation. Knowing God and understanding our faith is a lifelong journey. We are happy to walk with you on your way to sainthood.
