Oct. 5 2014 Reflection

All the knowledge of the laws and “right way” to live and  do things, cannot take the place of true conversion of the heart. Is service to the less fortunate part of your life in some way? If not, find a way to work with those deemed as troublesome by society’s standards. In working with them, your heart is changed. Expectations and knowledge of God are broadened and compassion grows. As you seek opportunities to serve, educate yourself on the issues that may cause the person to be in their situation. The education necessary, comprehension of Catholic Social Teaching, is vital only if it is then enacted.
